AIM: to encourage beginning umpires to improve their knowledge and application of the rules of hockey by:

•familiarising themselves with the current Rule Book

•developing an awareness of the variety of skills required for good adjudication of the game

•having the confidence to practise and integrate acquired knowledge and skills into their personal game
